Unclaimed listing: created from charter-published data
Waldorf-inspired Homeschool classes that meet twice a week with an experienced and trained Waldorf teacher. Students will be guided through their educational journey using a developmentally aligned curriculum and hands-on learning. This is achieved by the teacher creating an artistic depiction on a chalkboard and guiding students through complex concepts in lively and engaging lessons, incorporating real-life observations in nature, and facilitating curated experimentation. This is what the Waldorf teacher refers to as the Main Lesson. The Main Lesson will take up most of the contact time between the students and the teacher. It will be utilized over a three-week Block to provide a concentrated focus on one subject or concept. Within each Block, students will work from their own inspirations and create their own depictions in their Main Lesson Book, reflecting their understanding of the material. This provides a living lesson that the student and teacher are building towards, organically and cohesively—academic concepts within math, language arts, and history are integrated through purposeful movement, art, and engaging storytelling. Science and physics concepts are learned through the phenomenological discovery process.
