How Vendvera works
Where listings come from, what the marks mean, and who’s behind the reviews.
- Search every list at once Type what your child wants to learn. One search covers all 6 charters’ published vendor lists.
- See who approves it Every vendor names the charters that approve it, with the date we last checked each list.
- Confirm you’ve used it Signed-in families confirm the vendors they’ve used, so the next family knows it’s real.
Where listings come from
Most listings come from the vendor lists California homeschool charters publish for their families. Vendors and families can also submit a vendor. Those go live once we approve them. Either way, no one pays to be listed. We re-check each charter’s published list regularly; every approval shows when it was last checked.
What the marks mean
- ✓ Charter-approved: the vendor appears on that charter’s own published approved-vendor list; the row’s “last checked” date is when we last read it.
- ✓ Vendor-confirmed: the business itself confirmed which charters it works with.
- ✓ N families: appears once signed-in homeschool families confirm they’ve used a vendor through a charter; N is how many.
- family-reported · N families: a signed-in family says they used a vendor through a charter whose published list didn’t carry it when we last checked. Families are sometimes ahead of our data.
- Claimed listing: the business manages the listing. It says who is answering, not that anyone has checked them.
Field trip and Field trip: Booked by school are not marks. They are restrictions a charter put on a vendor. The second means the charter books it for you, so ask your education specialist about a trip rather than submitting a purchase request yourself.
Who writes the reviews
Only signed-in homeschool families can leave stars or a review: no anonymous ratings, no vendor self-reviews. That’s also why a new area can look quiet: reviews appear as real families write them.
Independent, on purpose
No charter runs Vendvera. That independence is what lets every charter’s list sit side by side in one search.
