Unclaimed listing: created from charter-published data
I provide one-on-one tutoring for students struggling with reading spelling. For some students, sounding out words does not come naturally, so they need more practice with memorizing individual sounds in words, and practicing with various drills, exercises and games to help them build their reading skills into bigger and more complex words. My tutoring curriculum starts at a very basic level for students who need to start with the alphabet and individual sounds of letters, and it goes all the way up to reading and understanding latin roots of words. For spelling, I teach sight words and various spelling rules throughout the different levels of my curriculum, both of which are extremely helpful for students who struggle to sound out words and need more structure to their growth in spelling. The curriculum I use is sequential and builds on itself, using the same pattern of rotating between spelling, reading, sight words, and writing throughout each lesson. This curriculum has had a lot of proven success in helping students catch up to their peers in reading level and spelling.
